  • Growing Up

This little girl has all of a sudden learned to do so many new things.  She can crawl now and pull herself up on things like this toy box.  She loves to open and close the lid, and take out and put away her toys.

She also has her very own purse!  It has paper, a cell phone, keys, a toy, a wallet and a brush.  What a big girl!

These are Naomi's cousins (Tom's brother's kids).  Ashley (left) is turning 3 tomorrow.  Caitlin (center) will be 2 in February (we share the same birthday!).  Naomi is going to be 1 on Thursday!  It's too bad they live kinda far away and Naomi doesn't get to see them too often, because the girls have so much fun when they're together.  Although getting the 3 of them to pose for a picture and all look at the camera at the same time is virtually impossible!

I guess the Donovan gene must be dominant, because there is no doubt these two are related!  I love the expression on Caitlin's face!

My baby girl is doing new things every day.  And it seems like all of a sudden she is growing up so quickly.  Since she can crawl and stand herself up and walk, now she is going to need a more watchful eye on her all the time.  We are transitioning her from formula to whole milk and are down to 2 bottles a day, and probably just 1 within the next week.  She is starting to eat table food and wants to eat what Mommy is eating all the time.  Naomi loves pizza!  It's so fun to watch all the changes and new things, but it seems like it's all happening so fast!

Great pictures!  Thanks for sharing.  I'll never forget David's first birthday.  He is my first so, of course, their first birthday is only something you have dreamed about and anticipated your whole life.  So, we had such plans of having friends over who had babies so they could all have a good time, food, cake, fun fun fun.  And, being a late January baby, there was a big snow storm and only one person came.  One person who did not have a baby.  I cried and cried.  Like David even cared!  He was 1 and loved the cake and all the presents even if it was just the 3 of us most of the time.  Hope Naomi's party is snow-storm-free!!!!

I actually thought about the possibility of a snow storm next weekend and how horrible that would be for her party!  As of right now, no snow in the forecast.  Fingers crossed.
